Starting Out West
Are you looking to make queer friends in the West? We’ve got your back!
‘Starting Out West’ is a FREE face-to-face workshop series that brings together young (ages 18-30) LGBTQ+ people living in Western Sydney to connect and have meaningful conversations about issues that are important to us. Explore and share what it means to be a young LGBTQ+ Westie with fellow queers from the area!
Over two sessions across two weeks, we will discuss topics such as:
Culture and queerness
Meeting new people
Navigating stigma and discrimination
Keeping safe while having fun
Coming out & coming in
Self-care in dating and relationships
Using the apps and hooking up
And more…
The ‘Starting Out West’ workshops will be run by fellow young LGBTQ+ people from Western Sydney. We will ensure that each session is fun, informative, safe, and meaningful! Our facilitators will also make sure to respect your confidentiality during the workshop. People from all diverse genders, sexuality, and backgrounds, including those who are questioning their identity, are welcome and encouraged to join!
